If a lot of you started Alex Smith last week you must be pretty pumped. It's always the best feeling when you grab a QB off waivers and watch him explode. This week I've got a couple more good ones for you.
This week the Ravens face an awful Browns defense that let a rookie QB torch them. This is possibly the best matchup that any QB could ask for and it would be a waste to watch this guy explode in free agency. Grab him as he is the best streaming option at QB this week.
The Falcons QB has struggled a lot lately so he does come with some risk but he is facing a Raiders defense that allowed Drew Brees and the Saints to do anything they wanted on offense. Matt Ryan is in a good position to produce solid points as long as Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu are good to go.
Last week Mathew Stafford posted 340 passing yards to go along with 3 touchdowns against a terrible Colts defense. I don't believe that Trevor Siemian has the same upside that Stafford had last week but Gary Kubiak showed us against the Panthers that he is willing to let Siemian fling it. Siemian is an extremely sneaky play that can pick apart one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
The Patriots showed the world Sunday night what a great coaching staff and a lot of preparation time can do with average players. The young QB posted 14.4 fantasy points against one of the tougher defenses in the NFL. Jimmy Garoppolo will be facing a weak Dolphins team at home and he might produce a decent game for you if the other options above him are not available.
There is no QB in the NFL that cares less than Jay Cutler. At times it looks like he knows that his receiver isn't open but he throws it anyway. In this case it might actually be okay to play Cutler against a terrible Eagles defense that allowed Robert Griffin to chuck up a throw to a rookie wide receiver in triple coverage and watch him come down with it. Cutler has a very high ceiling with an extremely low and scary floor, making him the biggest boom or bust play of my streamers.
