Championship Waiver Wire (Week 16)

So you made it this far. Congratulations. Let's bring it home now.

Ty Montgomery

This guy is a good running back and I can only wonder how on earth the Green Bay staff stuck with James Starks. Turns out NFL coaches aren't as smart as you think and maybe they are humans and make mistakes too. Who knew?

Dontrelle Inman

Just in case he is still available in your league. He's been good killing it. He will face the Browns this week.

Tyler Lockett

I can't imagine that you are in such a tough spot that you would resort to this player but he has played well as of late and he may be able to help you if you are thin at Wide Receiver and need a splash play.

Cameron Meredith

The Bears will face the Redskins in week 16 and that means Alshon Jeffery will draw Josh Norman. When Jeffery faced shut down corner Vontae Davis earlier this season, Meredith finished with 130 yards on 9 grabs and a touchdown. Meredith is a great play this week.

J.J. Nelson

The matchup isn't great for the young Cardinals receiver but the targets have been there, especially after the release of Michael Floyd. If you're in a tight spot then take a shot on Nelson. He should be a fine play based on volume.

Robby Anderson

This is another receiver that has been getting a ridiculous amount of targets. Anderson is only start worth if Bryce Petty is playing and his value is dependent on the vast number of targets he has received from him. However, the matchup is somewhat concerning against the Patriots who have a history of neutralizing the top weapon in the opposing offense. Technically the top weapon in this case is Brandon Marshall, but Anderson has been the go to guy for Petty so it will be interesting to see who the Patriots look to shut down. I still believe they will try to eliminate Marshall and Anderson will come out with a decent stat line. Play at your own risk.

Kenneth Farrow

Yes I know he was terrible last week but he still played for most of the game and the coaches didn't bench him after fumbling. If Melvin Gordon is out again this week, then you will have a starting running back facing the Cleveland Browns! To me that is worth the risk.

Justin Forsett

You would have to be very desperate to use this guy in your championship week but he has gotten more opportunities than Booker and any running back that has a shot at double digit touches is worth consideration.
