Week 7 Waiver Wire Running Backs

After the surprise Knile Davis trade we have some good waiver wire pick ups at Running Back.

Jay Ajayi

The Dolphins did something right for once this season. They committed to a running back! Arian Foster was involved and should be part of the offense moving forward which only makes this situation even more confusing to figure out. Still, Ajayi should be rostered for now and will be useable if/when Foster misses time in the future or the Dolphins commit to him long term.

Knile Davis

Eddie Lacy and James Starks are expected to miss multiple weeks which forced the Packers to trade for Knile Davis. Now Davis is the only breathing running back left on the team and he should eat! His only issue on the Chiefs were the fumbling problems. If Davis can clean that up he will have a nice run in Green Bay and if he gets hot then I won't be shocked if the Packers continue rolling with him even after Lacy returns.

Devontae Booker

Although the situation in Denver looks just like a committee, there is still a chance that Booker takes over the job completely and he is worth a stash for running back needy teams. CJ Anderson is just too awful for the Broncos to keep rolling with and Booker has a chance to take over if he can outperform Anderson.

Jacquizz Rodgers

Doug Martin missed practice on Monday which means that he may still not be ready to go in week 7. We already saw what Rodgers can do with a full workload against the Panthers. The Bucs also signed Antone Smith which may indicate they are preparing for a game without Martin. Grab Rodgers in case Martin misses the game and don't be afraid of starting him against a terrible 49er defense.

Zach Zenner/Zach Zenner

There is still a role that needs to be filled in the Lions offense as the primary runner between the Tackles. As of right now, Dwayne Washington looks like the better stash but both should be monitored closely and both have a shot at that job.
