The streamers from last week were spectacular! 4 out of the 5 Tight Ends put up great numbers and this week we've got a few more interesting plays.
The Bucs Tight End has been the second option in the eyes of Jameis Winston since the release of Austin Seferian-Jenkins... RIP ASJ... And as a result we have Brate who has been spectacular since he has taken on the lead role at Tight End for Tampa and this week he faces a Carolina defense that does struggle against Tight Ends. I am not in love with the matchup but he is being used so much in this offense that you can roll with him and expect a nice and safe floor with some upside if he scores.
Last year after Larry Donnell was lost to a serious injury, we saw a rookie Tight End come in and dominate. It isn't very often we see rookies play so well at that position and this will be his second season of growth. If Donnell wasn't on the roster and taking significant snaps away from Will Tye then we would be looking at more than just a streamer at Tight End but it looks like Donnell is going to be out for at least one game. The matchup against the Packers is good enough for Tye to do some damage and as long as Donnell is out, then you should be starting Tye.
This guy isn't a very good Tight End but Jared Cook has been ruled out already and he figures to take over the majority of snaps at Tight End which makes him a good start this week. Packers play against the Giants who have been historically bad against the Tight End position. Rodgers isn't my favorite on this list but you can still roll him out there and get some production.
This pick is a little sneaky but also a bit risky. The Broncos face the Falcons who have given up the most fantasy points to opposing Tight Ends this year. Unfortunately we don't know enough about the status of Green so it's very important to keep track of the situation. If he is a full go at the game then you have a huge upside play with the stud Bronco.
