4 QB Streamers (Week 5)

The Chiefs and Steelers matchup last week was the most stressful football game I have ever seen. Alex Smith still ended the week as QB11 and if Trevor Siemian hadn't gotten hurt then we would've had a flawless streaming week. On the bright side, every week our streamers have gotten better so let's keep pushing.

Brian Hoyer

You know what feels good? Starting a terrible Quarterback like Brian Hoyer and watching him finish as QB7. This just proves why you should never take a QB early or even trade for one. The Bears Quarterback faces the the Colts this week who don't even have a defense. Seriously. The Colts don't know what they're doing. In my mind they're barely a football team. Even Blake Bortles, who has been trash all year, finished as the QB3 against the Colts. Start Hoyer and don't look back!

Trevor Siemian

This week the Broncos face the Falcons who are extremely awful against fantasy QBs. Atlanta is allowing the most fantasy points to opposing Quarterbacks and if the Falcons can play decent run defense then it'll force Siemian to throw a bit more. As long as Siemian is healthy then you have a decent streamer for this week. There is risk that the staff will limit his throws to keep him healthy but the matchup is just too good to steer away from. If you want the upside, take Siemian.

Ryan Tannehill

Last time I endorsed this guy I threw up 6 times while I was watching the game but after I cleaned up the mess I saw that he ended with a decent outing. The Dolphins QB is garbage but he puts up points and the matchup is good enough for him to produce. He is my least favorite among the streamers and if you decide to go with him just make sure you don't watch the game or look at the score because it will make you nauseous. Tannehill is my least favorite streamer but he is an okay play in week 5.

Derek Anderson

It's starting to look like Cam Newton has a really small chance of playing this week and that should create an opportunity for Anderson to carry the load. Tampa Bay has a stout run defense but their weakness is in the secondary and there's a good chance that the backup QB will exploit it. If Cam is ruled out ahead of Sunday then I wouldn't have a problem starting Anderson this week. The Bucs allow the 4th most fantasy points to opposing Quarterbacks and the Panthers will have to sling it in order to win.
