5 Tight End Streamers (Week 6)

We've got a couple of decent options at Tight End this week but the position is still as dull as ever. Grab them. Use them. Discard them. Rinse, recycle, repeat.

Charles Clay

Buffalo faces off against the trash formerly known as the 49ers and the Chip Kelly high tempo offense sets up the Bills to run a lot more plays on offense. The Niners have also been terrible defending Tight Ends so it sets up well for Clay who should get more targets with Sammy Watkins out. Clay is my favorite streaming option this week.

Virgil Green

In week 1 we saw the athletic freak of a Tight End show his awesome skill set outside of blocking. Unfortunately he went down with an injury in week 2 so we haven't heard much from him since. We finally get another chance to see him bounce back against a weak Chargers defense on Thursday night. As long as Trevor Siemian returns to the starting lineup, Green should be a solid option for you.

Richard Rodgers

Yes the lamest tight end in football made it back on my list in consecutive weeks. Jared Cook is expected to miss week 6 which will open up playing time for Richard Rodgers. They have a soft matchup against the Cowboys who have allowed the 4th most points to opposing Tight Ends. Rodgers should get plenty of playing time and will have a good chance to grab some catches and score.

Jesse James

The Steelers Tight End reminds me of unseasoned chicken breast. He's so bland and flavorless. His route running is nonexistent and there are no signs of athleticism... but he's on the Steelers and he's a giant. Seriously he's 6′ 7″ and most Tight Ends in fantasy need touchdowns to be relevant so the biggest target on the field in an offense led by Big Ben is worth a spot start this week against a Dolphins defense that was absolutely demolished by Delanie Walker in week 5.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins

Every fantasy football nerd has fallen in love and gotten hurt by ASJ but he's finally on a new team and he may be utilized properly with the Jets. Maybe... The Jets have lost Eric Decker for the year and there are reports stating that ASJ will see more targets in week 6. Although I don't completely buy into the buzz, I am intrigued by it. I wouldn't advocate starting him this week unless you're in a very deep league and you are completely desperate as the matchup against the Cardinals doesn't set up well for him on Monday night.
